It's exceedingly rare to not have a Chelsea match available on television nowadays, but this second round League Cup EFL Cup matchup against Bristol Rovers was one such occasion. That's not to say there no cameras at the ground, recording the match for highlights and future replays, but there were only two places to watch the game live, Stamford Bridge, and Rovers' home stadium on an exclusive "beam-back".  Not even illegal streaming was a possibility for the Internet savvy, though the social media hero who broadcasted the whole thing on his Twitter account via a really low quality Periscope stream probably deserves some misguided "fight the system" award.

BEIJING (Reuters) reported: China's military has carried out its first ever live-fire drills using an aircraft carrier and fighters in the northeastern Bohai Sea close to Korea, state media said. China's growing military presence in the disputed South China Sea has fueled concern, with the United States criticizing its militarization of maritime outposts and holding regular air and naval patrols to ensure freedom of navigation.

Teen Missing After 21-Year-Old Boyfriend Allegedly Kills Her Mom, Younger Sister

A 21-year-old Texas man was arrested Wednesday for the murder of his much-younger girlfriend’s mother and little sister, a day after authorities put out an Amber Alert for the missing teenager. Kirsten Nicole Fritch, 16, has been missing since Tuesday, when her mother and sister were found dead in their Baytown home. Officers conducting a wellness check Tuesday morning discovered the bodies of Cynthia Morris, 37, and her 13-year-old daughter, Breanna Pavilicek, each shot at least once, officials said. Morris’ mother had called 911, saying she had been unable to get in touch with her daughter or her granddaughters, and that her daughter had also not shown up for work, Baytown Police said . The grandmother went by her loved ones’ home and when she found the front door slightly open, she called police, officials said.
