-Foot-Tall Baby Giraffe Takes First Steps Minutes After Its Birth

In an amazing birth video, a baby giraffe was welcomed into the world and was up and walking in less than an hour.
Uzuri, a 19-year-old giraffe, gave birth to baby Lizzy at the Blank Park Zoo in Iowa earlier this month and the calf is now thriving.
Lizzy was born at six-feet-tall, one of the tallest babies the zoo has ever seen, and has become an ambassador for her species, according to zoo officials.
“Less than an hour after birth, Lizzy was up and testing out those long legs but of course, mom was there to guide her,” a zoo official said.

Yesterday, The Central BANK OF Nigeria announced a temporary suspension of FCMB Bank along with ither eight other commercial banks from access to the foreign exchange market. 86 repentant members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect are currently undergoing rehabilitation at the Bulumkutu Rehabilitation Centre Maiduguri, Dr. Mohammed Goni Alkali, managing director of the North-East Development Commission (NEDC) has  said . The former terrorists are sheltered and catered for by the Borno State Government with support from development partners. Meanwhile, the NEDC is set to launch a scholarship program that will sponsor persons affected by insurgency in the region into the academics and to undertake vocational skills.
