Lagos Deputy Governor arrests commercial bus drivers for driving against traffic.

Again, the deputy governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat apprehended two commercial drivers for driving against traffic.

 

The commercial drivers were apprehended at Majidun area of Ikorodu on Saturday, December 28th. The buses with registration numbers FKJ 704 XK and FKJ 864 XV, were driving inward Ikorodu using the outward Ikorodu Lane.  

 

The two buses and drivers were handed over to the Divisional Police Officer at Owode Onirin Police Station for necessary action.

Goodluck Jonathan visits soldier injured during gunmen’s attack at his Bayelsa home

Former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife Patience on Sunday December 29, visited a soldier who was injured during the gunmen attack at his residence in Otuoke, Bayelsa state.  During the visit at the hospital where Lance Corporal Umar Muttaka was receiving treatment, the former President commended him and other security operatives over the bravery they exhibited during the attack. He stated that they stood firm and fought for the interest and security of the nation.

BEIJING (Reuters) reported: China's military has carried out its first ever live-fire drills using an aircraft carrier and fighters in the northeastern Bohai Sea close to Korea, state media said. China's growing military presence in the disputed South China Sea has fueled concern, with the United States criticizing its militarization of maritime outposts and holding regular air and naval patrols to ensure freedom of navigation.
